Behind the Scenes[]

The original image used in "The Mandela Catalogue Vol. 1".
- Series creator Alex Kister obtained the image originally used to depict the character online, and knew it was a facial composite of an actual criminal.[5] Kister opted not to continue the original image's usage because he hadn't created it himself.[6] The composite, which represented a Missouri burglary and assault suspect,[7] the image was subsequently shared to websites like Fark in the aftermath.[8]
Trivia[]
- Seán McLoughlin described the original depiction of the character as "ugly".[9]
