Bill Murdoch, bringing up his déjà vu to Jake Doyle

Bill Murdoch was a Canadian police officer of the 21st century. An officer of the Toronto Police, Murdoch was from a long line of police officers, and the great, great, great grandson of Detective William Murdoch.[1]

Murdoch was in good standing with the force when he met Felicity Shepherd; he fell in love with the bank robber and in attempting to secure her a lesser sentence became heavily suspected by the Toronto Police of having been an inside man to aid Shepherd's robbery. Still determined to persuade her to abandon crime, Murdoch followed her against her wishes to Newfoundland, where she was attempting to solve the kidnapping of her cousin Robin Shepherd. Along the way, Murdoch connected with private investigator Jake Doyle to solve the case. After cornering Shepherd with the real inside man, Eagleson, on a cliffside, Murdoch was forced to shoot her in the arm to prevent her from murdering her former ally. Having had time to think, Murdoch gave up on convincing Shepherd to change her ways.[2]
