Project: X-LN247, also known as the Blipvert Project, was a corporate program established by Network 23. Seeking to avoid their viewers from ever changing the channel to a competitor, Bryce Lynch was charged with creating compressed advertisements that would give all the information an advertisement would require in minimal time. A lethal side effect occurred when the blipverts began causing gruesome deaths due to overstimulation of viewers' brains. Network 23 executive Mr. Grossberg decided to push forward with the program out of fear of losing investments by the Zik Zak Corporation in complete disregard to the rash of deaths that would occur globally, and attempted to assassinate journalist Edison Carter when he began investigating the campaign. Carter subsequently attempted to force Grossberg and Lynch into revealing the truth about the program to the viewing audience.
