Boris Johnson is an English politician and author. Johnson has served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019, having previously served as Foreign Secretary under Theresa May from 2016 to to 2018 and as Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016.
As mayor, Johnson oversaw the 2012 Summer Olympics. As Prime Minister, Johnson presided over the completion of Brexit. Since 2020 Johnson has led the government's ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
