Boris Karlov was a Russian scientist of the early 20th century. After his daughter was rejected by a young son of the Petroff family, Karlov held the family responsible for her death.[1]

  • Karlov was portrayed by American actor Warner Oland.[2][3][4]
  • The character originated in the novel "The Drums of Jeopardy" by Harold MacGrath. The book was adapted for Broadway in 1922, and was portrayed in the 1923 silent film adaptation by Wallace Beery, though renamed Gregor Karlov. In 2020, a version of the character was added to the Battle Royale video game "Call of Duty: Warzone".[1]
