Darren Oak was a Canadian superhero of the 21st century. Loyal to Michael Evans, Oak took on the mantle of Captain Canuck after Tom Evans was believed to have died repelling the Borealis invasion. He was partnered with Evans' old partner Kebec by Olivia Wallace-Yeates who immediately tasked them with spying on Michael Evans, making Oak feel conflicted.

Some time afterward, Oak was a member of Yeates' reorganised Equilibrium, who came face to face with the Claw. After being killed in the original timeline, Oak's life was spared after a time traveller from the Claw-dominated future arrived back in time to prevent the deaths of the Equilibrium team.

Behind the Scenes[]

Captain Canuck was created by comic book writer and artist duo Ho Che Anderson and Felipe Cunha. Anderson liked reading Captain Canuck comics as a child and felt thrilled to assume the mantle of writing for the series.^[1]
