Thomas Evans[1] (b. 10 March 1963)[2] was a Canadian superhero, astronaut, and law enforcement officer of the 20th century. Canuck was known for having saved the Earth multiple times over from communist, fascist, and extraterrestrial threats across space and time.

Evans and his brother Mike joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police together, and subsequently the Canadian International Security Organization,[3] while it was still in its early stages and known only to the Canadian government.[4] One night, Evans went camping with a group of boys and encountered a group of aliens.[3] Nyro-Ka accidentally endowed Evans with enhanced abilities during the course of the experiment,[5] granting the C.I.S.O. agent doubled strength and reflexes that impressed his superiors.[3]

Weapons and Abilities[]

Enhanced Abilities[]

After being exposed to zeta rays by Nyro-Ka's forces, Canuck gained abilities he had not previously possessed.

  • Photographic Memory: Following Zeta Ray exposure, Evans possessed a photographic memory with a recall comparable to that of the world's greatest computers.[6]
    • The exception being he was left with faulty and dream-like memories of his time being experimented on by the aliens.[7]
  • Strength: Evans' strength and speed was increased to double what he could achieve before.
    • His punch could snap a chain link.[8]

Technology[]

  • Time Watch: A wristband developed by the remnants of C.I.S.O. in 2016, based on the time travel platforms used by Nyro-Ka's forces. It allowed for the travel of multiple individuals through time and space. (COMIC: Time Chase, Part 3, Part 4)

Notes[]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Captain Canuck was created by Canadian comic book writer and artist Richard Comely, with the suit being designed by Ron Leishman.[9] Comely was motivated to create the character to give Canada its own national hero.[10]
