Thomas Aaron Evans was a Canadian superhero and military officer of the 21st century. As an agent of the corporate peacekeeping agency Equilibrium, Evans fought the terroristic supervillain Mr. Gold under the callsign Captain Canuck. He subsequently prevented the rampaging Pharos from hurting innocent civilians, and fought off the Borealis invasion at the seeming cost of his life. In reality, he was transported to another world, leaving the Earth to mourn his sacrifice and for Darren Oak to carry on his legacy.
Alongside his brother Michael, Evans was born to his father Joseph Evans, an RCMP officer stationed in the then-Northwest Territories who witnessed the crashlanding of an extraterrestrial vessel. As a half-Cree boy, Evans had to deal with prejudice and racism in all facets of life. He grew up and enlisted in the Canadian Army to participate in the Afghanistan war. Lieutenant Evans then unexpectedly found himself gaining superpowers after trailing his brother to Melville Island with the help of Olivia Wallace-Yeates and encountering the Nyrro-Kaa known as "Aleph". He returned to the army and was assigned to the "Problem Child Exchange", where he met and befriended sniper Yvette Arsenault. The pair defeated war criminal mercenary brothers Adriaan and Willem Cronje. After their tours of service concluded, they found work with Michael Evans' new initiative Equlibrium.
