Carl Faubert was a Canadian private investigator of the 20th century. In the course of his career, he encountered several paranormal phenomena such as a wendigo and the Brume.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Faubert was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He joined the Canadian Army as a private in the late 1940s and participated in the Korean War from the summer of 1951 to the war's end in 1953. Faubert was honorably discharged and started a career as a private investigator.[1] (GAME: Kona)
Detective career[]
Wendigo encounter[]
In October of 1970, Faubert was hired by William Hamilton to investigate vandalism at his country estate north of Lac Atâmipek and was set to meet him at the town’s general store but before arriving to the general store, Faubert had gotten into a car accident and passed out from the impact for several hours, all the while a blizzard was starting to set in town. When Faubert gained consciousness he slowly started to realise what had happened and rushed to the general store afterwards in order to meet his employer, only to find him murdered. Faubert was forced to solve his employer's murder, investigate the disappearance of the townsfolk, persevere through a freak blizzard, and evade a murderous wendigo to escape the town. (GAME: Kona)

- Lee-Enfield rifle: Faubert looted a rifle from a cabin and used it to defend himself against wolves and the wendigo. (GAME: Kona)
- Revolver: Faubert used a revolver to kill wolves and other types of animals
- 12 gauge Shotgun: Faubert used it to kill large animals, like bears and moose.
- Mistanite Phaser: A special gun using mistanite, a radioactive rock, to break large walls of blue ice. (GAME: Kona II: Brume)
