Reception[]
Mike Hale, writing for The New York Times, said "To the extent that Deon Taylor’s “Chain Letter” has anything that could be called a plot, it appears to involve teenagers being stalked by a Luddite psycho, or psychos, with a grudge against modern technology. The funny thing is, only humans could have made something this slipshod and nonsensical (yet grindingly obvious) — machines wouldn’t know how to insult an audience’s intelligence, or abuse its trust, this badly."[2]
Linda Cook, writing for The Quad-City Times, stated, "This really isn’t a movie. It’s like somebody thought of some scenes and edited them together. I’m thinking I’m among the few who saw quite possibly the worst movie of the year… perhaps the decade."[3]
