Charles Logan was an American politician who served as President of the United States following the incapacitation of John Keeler. Logan is remembered largely for his involvement in multiple criminal conspiracies and for his culpability in several political assassinations.
After serving as the United States Senator for California, Logan was picked by Keeler as his running mate in the 2008 United States presidential election. After the murder of Sherry Palmer caused incumbent president David Palmer to drop out, Keeler and Logan won easily. When Keeler was rendered comatose following Mitch Anderson's attack on Air Force One, his cabinet invoked the 25th amendment and Logan was sworn into office. After inviting Palmer to serve as his advisor during Habib Marwan's terrorist campaign. Both soon began arguing over the best course of action and especially over Jack Bauer, whom Logan ordered the assassination of in fear of Chinese government reprisals. Bauer was forced to fake his death.
Logan subsequently became involved in a conspiracy with the Kaukistan terrorist group known as the Dawn Brigade, secretly supplying them with nerve gas as an excuse to increase American military operations in Asia. After they discovered his involvement and motives, Brigade leader Vladimir Bierko blackmailed him into granting information that would allow them to assassinate Russian President Yuri Suvarov. Contemporaneously, Logan was also involved in the assassination of David Palmer to silence him and prevent his knowledge of the conspiracy from getting out. Logan's conspiracies were ended by Jack Bauer, and Logan was forced out of office, with his crimes covered up from the general populace.
