- Doc Savage was created by American author Lester Dent, under the Street & Smith house name Kenneth Robeson.[1]
- While Savage and the other prominent Street & Smith pulp hero, the Shadow, have met on a number of occasions, neither of them ever crossed over with the company's third prominent pulp hero, the Avenger, until the 2014 comic miniseries "Justice, Inc".[2]
