Donald McNichol Sutherland (17 July 1935 - 20 June 2024)[1] was a prolific Canadian actor whose career spanned over six decades and nearly 200 film and television appearances.[2][3] While he was never nominated for a competitive Academy Award, he received an honourary statuette in 2017.[4]
