Dr. Sam Loomis was an English-born American psychologist, known for having served as serial killer Michael Myers's psychiatrist.

Biography[]

War Service[]

During the Second World War, Loomis served in the Royal Air Force, flying missions against Nazi Germany. In 1942, he met Elizabeth Worthington at a party. His plane was subsequently shot down by the enemy, and he spent time as a prisoner of war, where he witnessed Nazi atrocities. (PROSE: Halloween: Sam)

Child Psychiatry[]

Working with Michael[]

In 1968, Loomis spoke privately with Michael in his room. Frustrated with his lack of progress and in horror of what he perceived Michael to be, he offered the child a gun with which to shoot him. Angered by being ignored by Michael, Loomis slapped him before realising with horror what he'd done. He promised himself once again that he wouldn't let Michael kill again. (COMIC: Halloween: One Good Scare)

Death[]

Legacy[]

Loomis' son David completed his studies and became a psychologist, like his father. He met Lindsey Wallace in 2002, and accordingly began studying his father's notes, becoming just as obsessed with Michael Myers. When Myers came for Wallace on 31 October 2003, David hid under his desk, letting the killer escape with his chosen prey. (COMIC: Halloween: One Good Scare)
