Dr. Sam Loomis was an English-born American psychologist, known for having served as serial killer Michael Myers's psychiatrist.

Notes[]

Behind the Scenes[]

Trivia[]

  • An earlier draft script for "H20" would originally have introduced Loomis' daughter Rachel, before killing her off. Her role in the film was instead taken by Marion Whittington.[7]
  • Loomis' death date (as given by the short story "Halloween: Sam") is 2 February 1995, the same day that Donald Pleasence died. The story also gives Loomis a background in the Royal Air Force during the Second World War, and having become a POW; having assisted the Metropolitan Police with murder cases; and having had to deal with his wife and children being killed before he chose to leave London for America.
  • Kane would later parody this role on "The Boondocks", playing a psychiatrist named Dr. Doomis who stalks a child whom he accuses of being pure evil.

Appearances[]

  • Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (final appearance; voice over)
