Emergency Dispatch Ships (EDS) were rescue and resupply vehicles on the spatial frontier in the 22nd century. Designed to be light in weight, compact, and collapsible, they were designed to be deployed on short notice in emergencies. Because of the limits of resources on the frontier and the situations in which the ships were used, EDS pilots were bound by Interstellar Regulations to immediately execute and eject any stowaways on discovery.
