Legacy[]

There is but one cause of such chaos:- The Claw! - From this day forth, I will not rest until this enemy of man will be destroyed!

–Jerry Morris, vowing vengeance

His older brother witnessed Tad's fall into the ocean, and plunged in himself to attempt to save him. It was no use, and he was pulled back aboard the Morosa, exhausted. With a grieving heart. and guessing who was at fault for his brother's death, he vowed he would not rest until the Claw was destroyed. (COMICS: War!)

Years later, the Claw, having been ousted from a New York estate, was forced to make his base on Captiva Island. There, he opted to deploy bacteria bombs in New York City, despite the fact that such measures would kill millions of potential slaves. Jerry Morris[1], working with a band of scientists on behalf of the War Department, was able to track him there. Captured by Clawites, Morris was able to transmit over radio the layout and location of the base, while also boasting of an electrical gun that would kill the Claw. Using the electrical gun, Professor Alber was able to kill the Claw with three discharges, though not before the Claw threw a bacteria bomb. The other scientists had come with gas masks, but Morris didn't have one, and was killed by the Claw's bacteria. Back on the boat, the surviving scientists extolled Morris' genius and how they never could have killed the Claw without him. (COMICS: The End of the Claw!)
