—Dr. Anton Hendricks, to Matt Praeger, discussing the subject of Elsinger's secrets
Frank Elsinger was the Director of Operations of the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research.
Biography[]
20th Century[]
1996[]
After Lindsay Donner's discovery that Angela and Sabine Corbeil had once more disappeared, Case Manager Connor Doyle's team once more descended upon the sight to determine where they and the house had gone. Doyle contacted Operations to request further research and personnel. While waiting for authorisation, researcher Peter Axon discovered industrial tire tracks, indicating an unknown third party. Immediately after the discovery, Elsinger called Doyle and informed him that his requests were denied. Doyle duly closed the investigation on Case File 87105. The Corbeil family was never found. (TV: The Infestation/Human Apportation)
Personality[]
Elsinger was not afraid to send his underlings to investigate matters for which they did not have a clear mandate, such as after the death of his friend Dr. Jeffrey Tompkins. (TV: The Warrior)
Notes[]
Behind the Scenes[]
- Elsinger was portrayed by Canadian actor Nigel Bennett.[1][2]
- While the real-life reason that Elsinger never made an appearance in Season 4 is likely related to the budget cuts the series underwent, one has to wonder where he went and why he was never mentioned again in-universe.
