Frederick Charles Krueger (September 1941 - 1968) was an American serial killer and child murderer known as the Springwood Slasher. After evading imprisonment from botched police procedure, the parents of his victims burned him alive in an abandoned factory. Krueger subsequently returned from the dead as demon that could invade the dreams of Springwood's youths, and used his dream-manipulating powers to murder teenagers in their sleep.
