  • Following a disastrous battle during the Second Crusade, Barbarossa's ship ran aground on the shores of Deception Island, near Antarctica. Barbarossa claimed an ancient sword forged in Thule, and used it to conquer the Holy Roman Empire. The emperor was eventually slain by his own palace guards to prevent him from taking over the world. Centuries later, the pieces of his broken sword are sought out during the Second World War. When the God-King was revived, it possessed Barbarossa's skull on its belt.[3]
