The G-Man was an enigmatic anomalous entity that manipulated and orchestrated events in the life of Gordon Freeman.
Notes[]
Behind the scenes[]
- The G-Man has been voiced by Michael Shapiro in every installment of the series.[1][2]
- When asked in 2020, Shapiro couldn't recall whether or not there had been a written pitch for the character. Shapiro immediately recognised at the time that the G-Man was a much more interesting role than other work Shapiro had at the time.[3]
- The G-Man is considered to be the most memorable image spawned by the first game.[4]
References[]
- Mark Fischbach later took inspiration from the G-Man in creating Darkiplier.[5][6]
Appearances[]
- Half-Life (first appearance)
