George Clinton was a Canadian citizen and descendant of a United Empire Loyalist family. Along with Quinte Brown, a former slave whom had been owned by his family decades ago, Clinton covertly returned the family home in Virginia to find a hidden fortune concealed by George Washington when he was a surveyor.
