Godzilla (fl. 1954) was a surviving terrestrial and aquatic dinosaur that survived into the 20th century. After the destruction of its natural habitat by hydrogen bomb tests, it emerged from beneath the sea in the vicinity of Japan, where it began to commit massacres against the population during several violent rampages in the Kantō region. It was ultimately killed when Dr. Daisuke Serizawa gave his life to destroy both himself and his creation, the Oxygen Destroyer, to kill the monster.[1]
A timeline of variants can be established, in a specific order.
The first few following variants of Godzilla survived the Oxygen Destroyer, as they returned to destroy Osaka withAnguirus. After being buried in a series of triggered avalanches, he broke free some time later, leading to an encounter with King Kong. Losing, he would go on to fight many other Kaiju, like Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Gigan.
At this time, a variant of Godzilla arose in the Marvel Multiverse, facing The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, and many other heroic and villainous residents of that reality.
The next few variants of Godzilla were also the original. After the 1954 incident, Godzilla returned in 1984 to destroy Tokyo once more.
Around this time, a specific variant arose, to combat Bambi. The odds were stacked against him, but in the end, Godzilla triumphed.
