The Governor was the ruler of the biosphere Omicron aboard the Earthship Ark. The entirely male, ectogenic society of Omicron was disturbed by the arrival of Devon, Garth, and Rachel of Cypress Corners. The Government House Guard saw Rachel as the goddess Calabra, and the Governor, while a disbeliever, sought to use this belief as a political boon by marrying her.

Personality

The Governor was a man turned callous, though not indifferent, by years of resisting challenges by others who sought to kill him and usurp his position. He took morbid humour from his circumstances, and had no fear in taking human life, as he had killed at least twenty challengers to his rule. The Governor had no interest in overlooking possible assets in maintaining his control over Omicron. (TV: The Goddess Calabra )
