Jacques Eloi des Mondes (1660-1689) was a French 17th century aristocrat known for committing murder and torture.

In 1969, des Mondes was able to possess the body of his ancestor, Jean Paul Desmond, after the death of the latter's wife Erica. In return, des Mondes was to restore her to life.
