Jovenel Moïse (26 June 1968 - 7 July 2021)[1] was a Haitian politician who served as President of Haiti from his election in 2017 until his assassination in 2021.[2] Moïse had been accused of overstaying his term limits by over two years, and of ruling by decree.[3]
