Keerson was a Canadian Satanist cultist and priest of the 20th century. After seeking out dark power, Keerson claimed to have been possessed by Satan himself. He set out to perform a black mass ritual and a prostitute to perform it on, and dispatched Herbert Lefram to procure one from him. After meeting his second choice for the task, Elizabeth Lucy, he attempted to perform the ritual on her but was stymied when she committed suicide to prevent him from continuing the ritual. Keerson then tasked Lefram with interfering with Detective Sergeant Jim Henderson's investigation of Lucy's death. After exhibiting knowledge of Henderson's wife's death and his private grief suffered in the aftermath, Keerson was shot to death while claiming to be possessed by Satan.
