Trivia[]
- It's unclear why London is in the state that it is. No environmental disaster or nuclear war was established as having occurred, so there's no way to know why the London of twenty minutes from then was so utterly dilapidated. One could perhaps assume capitalistic excess.

- ↑ London is never named in the film; the setting can only be discerned by looking at the maps shown at the beginning of the film, which appears to pinpoint the blipvert death that Carter investigates as being in the general area of Peckham. While a prior map seems to point to Louisiana, it can be assumed based on the surrounding graphics that that was merely the location of the satellite broadcasting Carter's feed. Regardless, not even the name of the country is stated and no flag is ever shown, though everyone aside from Carter (and, as a result, Max Headroom) has a British accent. The differing-continuity series "Max Headroom" places the action instead in Los Angeles.
