Philip Wise was a Canadian intelligence operative and superhero of the early 20th century.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Wise's grandfather and grandmother were survivors of the Holocaust, liberated from Nazi concentration camps by Canadian soldiers.[1] As a Jewish child growing up in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Wise was the target of antisemitic bullies. After discovering it through an episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson", he began practicing the Canadian martial art Defendo until he reached a level allowing him to hurt his bullies enough to occasionally win their fights.[2]
