“ | If the world goes to hell, it's her you want by your side. | ” |
–Fin Shepard, 2015 |
Jenny Lynn "Nova" Clarke (1990[1]-2017) was an American shark slayer and the founder of the Sharknado Sisterhood. After surviving one in 2013, Clarke began fighting against sharknados as part of a global crusade against sharks.
At the age of seven, Clarke took a day trip into the ocean with her grandfather, which ended in disaster when sharks attacked following the boat's collision with a reef. Clarke was the sole survivor. Later in life, Clarke found work at Fin Shepard's bar on the Santa Monica Pier. She was at work on the day of the 2013 Los Angeles sharknados. Clarke was instrumental in stopping multiple sharknados by throwing bombs from a helicopter piloted by Matt Shepard.[2] In the aftermath, Clarke teamed with Lucas Stevens to study the sharknado phenomenon in the hopes of saving more lives. They travelled together in the Beast, tracking weather patterns and observing signs of divergent evolution in the sharks. In 2015, they encountered Shepard en route to Florida after the East Coast sharknado had ravaged Washington, D.C.. Together, Shepard and Clarke travelled to Orlando to rescue his family, before making their way to Cape Canaveral, where she waited for him and Colonel Gilbert Shepard to launch into space. She was subsequently present to witness the apparent death of April Wexler.[3]
Clarke was on vacation in Paris during the lavanado, hailnado, lightningnado, and nukenado storms of 2020, until a storm ripped the Eiffel Tower and Clarke with it to Niagara Falls.[4]
