–Obi-Wan Kenobi |
General Obi-Wan Kenobi was a Jedi Knight who fought in the Clone Wars. Kenobi fought alongside his pupil and ace pilot Anakin Skywalker, who later betrayed him in favour of the Galactic Empire. Kenobi kept the secret of Skywalker's two children, watching over the young Luke Skywalker, while the boy's sister Leia was sent away to Alderaan.
Decades later, Kenobi was contacted by Leia through Skywalker. Deciding to assist the Princess, he and Skywalker enlisted the assistance of smugglers Han Solo and Chewbacca. They made their way to the Death Star, a new battle station the size of a moon. While Solo and Skywalker rescued Princess Organa, Kenobi had a final duel with his former pupil, now known as Darth Vader. Kenobi willingly sacrificed himself to allow the others to escape, though death was not the end for the Jedi master. Kenobi, as a Force ghost, would continue to provide guidance and training to Luke Skywalker over the years, introducing him to Master Yoda and being present in Luke's life up until the Battle of Endor.
