–Prime Minister Trudeau, to Vindicator |
Pierre Trudeau was a Canadian politician and the Prime Minister of Canada.
Biography[]
Establishment of Department H[]
Crossing of the Hulk[]
After the Hulk crossed into Canada via Niagara Falls, (COMIC: Nightmare in Niagara Falls!), and made battle with an RCMP patrol between Ottawa and Montreal, (COMIC: Beyond the Border Lurks Death!) a meeting was called between the Canadian High Military Command and General Thunderbolt Ross. Trudeau's representative Mr. York deliberated with the American general over the use of Ross' Hulkbusters or the Royal Canadian Air Force to fight the Hulk. Ross managed to convince York, who stated he would speak with the Prime Minister and get Ross' forces clearance to operate in Canadian airspace. (COMIC: Spawn of the Flesh-Eater!)
Ross was subsequently captured by Soviet forces working alongside the Gremlin, who had been working in a secret high-tech city underneath the tundra of the Canadian north. (COMIC: Trackdown) The Hulk later became trapped in the undersea kingdom of Captain Nathaniel Omen, while the American forces went south to plan to rescue General Ross. (COMIC: The Phantom from 5,000 Fathoms!)
Hunt for Wolverine[]
In the war room of the Canadian Ministry of Defense, Trudeau was debriefed on the activities of Weapon X alongside the X-Men by Vindicator. Trudeau spoke of the time and effort that had gone into the ultimate weapon and demanded that Vindicator capture him. Vindicator agreed and summoned Alpha Flight. (COMIC: Wanted: Wolverine! Dead or Alive!) A battle between the X-Men and the Department H operatives ensued in Calgary, which ended when Wolverine surrendered. He almost immediately escaped custody and managed to cross the border with the rest of the X-Men. (COMIC: Shoot-Out at the Stampede)
Capture of the Wendigo[]
