George Edward Challenger, FRS, MD, DSc, was a Scottish adventurer, academic, and inventor of the 19th and early 20th centuries. His scientific endeavours lead to his exploration of Maple White Land, the discovery of the Poison Belt, the Hengist Downs Mystery, and the loss of the Nemor Disintegrator.
