Richard John Philip Jermy Gwyn (26 May 1934 – 15 August 2020)[1] was a Canadian journalist, author, historian, and civil servant. The first volume of Gwyn's two-volume biography of Sir John A. Macdonald, "John A.: The Man Who Made Us", was adapted into the 2011 film "John A.: Birth of a Country".
