The Sarcophagus was a Saskatchewan containment facility built to house John Diefenbaker. Originally constructed with the intention of it lasting 1000 years, its structural integrity began to fail after only 50 from being subjected to Diefenbaker's prolonged attempts to break free.[1]

History[]

20th century[]

By 1976,[2] the Sarcophagus was constructed and was in use housing the buried John Diefenbaker. It was expected to contain him for 1000 years.

21st century[]

In 2014,[3] Prime Minister Stephen Harper began treating Diefenbaker with radiation in anticipation of a possible conflict with Russia. By 15 July 2016,[4] the Sarcophagus had begun to fail in the face of constant battering by the irradiated monster it contained with. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau worked with all other parties in the House of Commons to authorise nuclear weapons to be deployed against Diefenbaker if the need arose. Scientists also deployed oceanic acoustic devices in the hopes of luring Lester B. Pearson into battle with Diefenbaker.
