Siren Head was a malevolent entity from the Trevor Henderson Multiverse, a predatory creature that preyed on humans and served as the representative for an unknown alien entity.[2]
Biography[]
Pre-history[]
Siren Head was depicted in ancient cave paintings.[3]
20th century[]
Siren Head was captured in a photograph of loggers working in the Huron-Manistee National Forests in 1900.[4]
It was subsequently photographed again during a family vacation in Arizona in 1966.[5]
In 1978, nine-year-old child Katherine Hubbens went missing from her family's backyard after hearing unusual noises in the forest. Her sister Abby was reported to have stated that her sister had heard the echoey, distorted voice of their mother calling to them from the trees.[6]
In 1984, four youths went missing in Allegheny National Park while on a camping trip. After several days the parents of Simon Foster had them declared them missing. Shortly afterward, Foster reappeared on his family's doorstep, claiming that something large had attacked the group. While search parties failed to ever find the other missing teenagers, a shoe believed to have belonged to David Wurck was discovered in 1985 after it fell from the top of a tree.[6]
1990s[]
In 1990, a park ranger at King's Canyon National Park discovered an as-of-yet unidentified decedent hanging from a twenty-foot-high branch of a Sequoia tree. The decedent's facial tissues were reportedly ruptured, and he was discovered a route regularly traversed by his discoverer.[6]
In 1992, drifter Samantha Harpe reported a sighting of a creature matching Siren Head's description walking in the woods near a backroad in New Hope, Pennsylvania.[6]
On 16 July 1995, Chad Gewecke was found wandering in the forest in the area of Tanyard Creek, north-western Arkansas. Gewecke claimed that his friends had been taken or killed by a large entity that could mimic voices, while having only sustained minor injuries himself.[7]
In August 1997, Siren Head was captured in a photo near a lake house.[8]
21st century[]
2010s[]
Siren Head was captured in footage obtained from abandoned cell phone found in Yellowstone National Park on 14 July 2016.[9]
On 19 August 2018,[10] woman and her husband had gone on vacation, and were looking at graveyards while en route when the woman spotted Siren Head. She at first mistook it for a work of modern art, before stepping out of the vehicle to get a closer look. Siren Head screamed at her, before moving to intercept her.[11][12] (PROSE: She was on vacation with her husband and they were scoping out graveyards)
On 18 September 2018,[10] a family of four was discovered to have gone missing from their suburban home; a photograph linked Siren Head to the disappearance.[13]
On 11 October 2019,[10] a disappearance caused by Siren Head in Crewdson, Indiana was reported.[14]
On 14 November 2019,[10] Siren Head was captured in a photo taken at dusk.[15]
2020s[]
On 23 March 2020,[10] it invaded a town and killed scores of people in their homes with its powerful audio transmission abilities.[16]
A photo was published in 2022 of Siren Head sighted from the back of a fleeing vehicle.[17]
On 1 June 2023, Siren Head was photographed in broad daylight.[18]
On 13 May 2025, it was again sighted.[19]
Physical Appearance[]
Physiology[]
A tulpa,[20] Siren Head is largely organic, though its innards are filled with cassette tape, and it has a large reel-to-reel tape recorder in its chest.[21] It stands at about the height of a telephone pole, and its body serves as the static physical form of unfathomable supernatural entity.[22] Despite its lack of eyes, it can still see.[23]
It's possible that the technological aspects of Siren Head's body change over time, or that what can be seen is only what the human mind can comprehend,[24] but Siren Head can change his form in subtle ways.[25]
Some of the people it consumes are still alive and conscious within the messages it plays.[26][27]

Notes[]
Behind the Scenes[]
- The Siren Head character was first featured in a Twitter post from 19 August 2018.[29] Henderson's thought process behind the character was to combine a numbers station and a skeleton.[30] Siren Head was not inspired by the Cameraheads.[31]
- Siren Head is not an SCP,[32][33] even though one of Henderson's other characters, Big Charlie, has been added to the site as SCP-4158.[34] Big Charlie is only on the site because the author of the SCP asked Henderson's permission to use the included photo.[35] A discussion occurred on the SCP Foundation forums, over the merits of including Siren Head as an SCP. The site staff argued against having a repeat of the legal procedures around SCP-173 and were adamant that people stop writing Siren Head derivatives in attempts to place Siren Head on the website.[36] Henderson doesn't want Siren Head to become an SCP, having said, "Nothing against them, I just want to keep him his own thing."[32]
- SCP-5987 was later created as a parody of attempts to place Sirenhead on the wiki as SCP-6789.[37]
- Henderson has acknowledged the difficulty involved in preventing the fandom from running away with the character ala Slender Man.[38] In spite of this, Henderson has stated he still likes the character.[39]
Merchandise[]
- In 2025, Henderson partnered with Makeship to release an official plushie of the character.[40][41][42][43][44][45]
References & Popular Culture[]
- Junji Ito has spoken positively of the original Siren Head image.[46] Henderson was pleased by this.[47]
Trivia[]
- Henderson has stated that Siren Head kisses like a sailor,[48][48] that its favourite Gatorade flavour is "blue,"[49] but has kept Siren Head's favourite hot sauce a secret.[50]
- Henderson has endorsed the adaptation created by Forlorn Foundry.[51]
- Henderson is disinterested in seeing NFTs created from his work,[52][53] including Siren Head.[54]
Appearances[]
- "She was on vacation with her husband and they were scoping out graveyards"
- "hunting at sunset"[55]
