Solomon Grundy (DC Comics character)

Cyrus Gold was a man murdered in Slaughter Swamp, outside Gotham City, in 1894.^[1]

Weapons and Abilities[]

Stamina: Grundy possessed a much higher stamina than the average man.
- When empowered by concentrated chlorophyll, Grundy managed to run through multiple states non-stop, ranging from Kentucky to Oklahoma to New Mexico and finally to Arizona's Petrified Forest before the Green Lantern caught up with and stopped him. (COMIC: And, Then There Was One!)
Strength: Grundy was possessed of a strength greater than that of a mortal man.
- Green Lantern compared his punches to being hit with a sledgehammer. (COMIC: Fighters Never Quit!)
- Grundy was capable of ripping off steel bank vault doors with some effort. (COMIC: Fighters Never Quit!, And, Then There Was One!, The Revenge of Solomon Grundy!)

Anti-Gravity: While trapped on the Moon, Grundy learned the Anti-Gravity secret, allowing him to travel through outer space along light waves to their source. (COMIC: The Case of the Withered Flower!)
