Sutekh was the last of the Osirans, an ancient species from the planet Phaester Osirus. 7000 years before 1911 AD, Sutekh opted to destroy all life in the universe to prevent the possibility of another life form evolving that could challenge him. He successfully murdered almost his entire race, but was stopped by the remaining 741, and entombed in a pyramid on the planet Earth. His imprisonment was secured by Osiran technology left on the neighbouring planet Mars.
7000 years later, English archaeologist Marcus Scarman unwittingly unveiled Sutekh's tomb. Sutekh killed Scarman and enslaved his body, intending to use him to free himself from his confinement.

- Mental Projection: Sutekh was able to broadcast his visage to Sarah Jane Smith while she was inside the TARDIS. (TV: Pyramids of Mars)
- Telekinesis: Though weakened from imprisonment, Sutekh was able to contain a gelignite explosion in England from Saqqara, Egypt through willpower, though a small distraction was able to disrupt the process. (TV: Pyramids of Mars)
- Telepathy: Sutekh was able to read the minds of others regardless of their psychic defenses. (TV: Pyramids of Mars)

- Sutekh was portrayed by English actor Gabriel Woolf.[1] Woolf would later portray the Beast in the revived series, before returning to the role for the "Doctor Who" episode "The Legend of Ruby Sunday".
