Tommy Jarvis was an American survivor of the mass murder Jason Voorhees. After encountering him as a child and killing him, Jarvis was institutionalised, and next encountered and killed the copycat killer Roy Burns.

By age 18, he had released been from the mental health facility. An attempt to destroy Jason's corpse lead to his resurrection as an undead killer, but Jarvis finally managed to drown his nemesis in the lake.
