Things die; it's just what they do. Every minute of every day on every world, every galaxy, something dies. Crying over it is spitting into the wind. Death is natural, yes. But there comes a time in the history of all civilizations, worlds great and small, when something -- some event, some disease, some war -- tips the balance of things. When even nature must look at the numbers and nervously catch its breath. And on those occasions? Well... it's time to make plans. A time... for change.

The Master

The War Master was the incarnation of the Master chosen by the Time Lords to fight in the Last Great Time War.[2][1]

Biography[]

The Last Great Time War[]

Abandoning the war[]

After being forcibly separated from his TARDIS by the Daleks via transmat, the Master was offered a deal by them to retrieve it and to be allowed to live in servitude to them. He found it on the planet Gardezza, where it had crash landed 500 years earlier. After pretending to be the Doctor to gain the favour of the natives, the Master manipulated both the Gardezzans and the Dalek occupiers into allowing him access to his TARDIS. (AUDIO: Beneath the Viscoid)

  3. Counted as a bare minimum of one for the purposes of this wiki, as the exact number of Daleks is unstated.
  4. Again, the number is unstated. Dalek saucers from the 2005 series are established to have 2000 Daleks per ship, though the number goes unstated in the story and thus can't be assumed to be the case.
