Woden was a planet that was explored by human researchers in the 22nd century. By 2178, it was populated with 16 explorers, who intended to make way for later settlement of the planet. It is known for an incident in which a teenager, Marilyn Lee Cross, was forcibly vented from an airlock by an EDS pilot delivering kala fever vaccines to a group of researchers, who needed to ensure that the ship would reach the planet without crashing.
