Lance Corporal Sir Arthur Henry Woodhouse VC, GCB, DSO, DSC, MC (28 June 1894 - 9 May 19--) was an English military officer and butler of the 20th century. After decorated service in the First World War, Woodhouse became an opium-addicted world traveller before falling in with Malory Archer. He eventually became primary caregiver to her son Sterling Archer, with his service continuing into his twilight years while serving as Sterling's personal butler.

Behind the Scenes

• Lance Corporal Woodhouse was played by American actor George Coe. After Coe's death, FX published a compilation of Woodhouse moments from the series as tribute. The character was later stated to have died in-universe to honour the actor's passing.
